The 1999-built Polar Prince will be sold, GC Rieber Shipping has announced.

According to the company's announcement, the delivery to the new owners of the vessel is set for the early days of June. The deal will add approximately $1.3 million (NOK 10 million ) to the account of GC Rieber Shipping.

Rieber sells Polar Prince

Polar Prince was built at Flekkefjord Verft, Norway. Designed as a multi-functional DP2 construction support vessel, it is optimised to operate in harsh weather conditions.

Since its delivery, Polar Prince has been chartered several times by major subsea contractors to perform inspection, maintenance and repair operation on underwater installations.

Recently Rieber has taken delivery of the Polar Empress, which is a 3D seismic vessel.
