DP World’s Jebel Ali Port has been awarded the Best Seaport – Middle East Award at the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS) 2015 that took place in Hong Kong thus managing to retain its leadership position. This is the 21st consecutive year that the port has been awarded the honor.

Best Seaport Award Again Goes To Jebel Ali Port

The AFLAS was organized by the Asia Cargo News magazine. They picked the winners by counting the votes for the nominees that were submitted by over 15,000 readers and e-news subscribers.

The proven and established port-centric integrated logistics solutions we have produced have been now complemented by the acquiring of the Economic Zones World that also features Jebel Ali Free Zone. Our commitment is in full force towards the economy of the UAE and the status of Dubai as the prime regional trading hub,” commented HE Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DP World Chairman.

Recently, DP World made an announcement that it was to initiate the building of Jebel Ali’s all new Container Terminal 4 , which is going to be responsible for delivering new capacity in the amount of 3.1 million TEU in its 2018 Phase 1, thus making the port’s capacity in total of 22.1 million TEU.
