The Yno 302, the largest supplement in Ulstein Verft newbuilds lately, has reached a significant breakthrough. The tow of the aft ship arrived to the yard premises in the early morning on Tuesday, 28th of April. The next step was to transfer the huge section of 6,500 tonnes into the dock and to connect it to the foreship positioned inside the dock hall.

The Ulstein Verft’s newbuild expected completion is scheduled for the last quarter of the year. The Yno 302’s redesigning has been made in the engineering phase, for that reason the length and the beam has been increased. The vessel’s length will be 159,8 metres and the beam - 30 metres. It will feature an increase of deck area and tank capacity, because of the deadweight of the vessel, which will be approximately 14 000 tonnes.

The new ship project is managed in the collaboration and joint-ownership, between Island Offshore, based in Norway and the Edison Chouest Offshore from the United States.
