Ro-ro cargo vessel GRANDE SENEGAL broke off moorings Monday evening (Feb 20, 2017) at Gibraltar harbor under strong winds, and started to drift in the harbor.

The 2010-built cargo and vehicle carrier, operated by Glimaldi Lines was at the Gibdock’s facility for rapairs when it drifted from the repair centre quayside.

In less than an hour situation was taken under control, with the help of two Resolve Marine Group tug boats and a pilot boat.

There is no information for injured people or damages to the vessel.
