“2018 was our best year, both financially and in terms of volumes. We are very happy that we have developed our ports so that we can offer, together with our customers, efficient and sustainable transport solutions for the increasing volumes of goods and passengers,” says Thomas Andersson, Ports of Stockholm Managing Director.

Over a six-year period that is nearing its conclusion, Ports of Stockholm has made major investments in three ports to meet growth, sustainable urban development, and future shipping needs.

“The Stockholm region is growing at a record rate and it is pleasing to see that an ever increasing proportion of transport is now arriving by sea. Next year we will open the Stockholm Norvik Port, which has good connections to the national railway network. This will be a powerful contribution to Stockholm’s already strong position within sustainable urban development,” says Jonas Nilsson, Chair of the Board at Ports of Stockholm.
