As VesselFinder reported earlier this week, a major air and sea rescue operation took place off Orkney Islands (UK) Tuesday morning (Nov 24), after the crew of a cargo ship Skog reported that it was drifting without engine power and taking on water.
The ship was towed to Kirkwall by the Coastguard tug and assisted alongside by two Orkney Towage tugs and the pilot boat Kirkwall Bay. In the early hours of Wednesday morning (Nov 25), the cargo ship Skog was safely tied up at Hatston Pier.

Stromness RNLI have issued a video of the rescue operation showing moments from the hard work of Stromness lifeboat crew and the other rescuers who were paged in the night to go to the assistance of the stricken vessel off the NW coast of Orkney:
