French LNG engineer Technip denied recent reports of talks with the Houston-based FMC Technologies regarding a potential combination.
Reuters cited sources saying Technip is exploring a possible sale and that talks with the U.S. counterpart have been ongoing.
Technip however, on Thursday (Dec 10) said there are no ongoing discussions with respect to possible strategic transactions.
FMC Technologies and Technip in March created a 50/50 joint venture, Forsys Subsea, targeting subsea field development.
