On June 9 2017, Hyundai Merchant Marine announced that it is to launch a new weekly North China-West India service, knows as CWI (China West India Express) with four global carriers which are CMA-CGM, PEL (Pendulum Express Lines), SCI (Shipping Corp of India) and KMTC (Korea Marine Transport Co).

The service provides a port rotation of : Tianjin, Qingdao, Ningbo, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Hazira, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Tianjin, and operates with 6 X 4,600 teu vessels (HMM X 2, CMA-CMA X 1, KMTC X 1, PEL X 1, SCI X 1)

The First southbound sailing from Tianjin is scheduled for June 25th.

HMM said “With this new direct premium service from North China to West India, HMM will provide a stable service to customers and strengthen its position in Far East/West India market.”
