The largest offshore gas processing platform ever installed in Australia, the Wheatstone Platform, has a topsides weight of some 37,000 metric tons. It is the largest float-over installation that has been delivered by Chevron.
The installation of the platform is a part of the Wheatstone Project.
The video below shows the journey of the Wheatstone topsides starting from the fabrication going through the load-out and the sail-away to the arrival and the float-over onto the steel-gravity structure base.
