Two vessels have been banned this month by the Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Acting on behalf of 27 participating maritime administrations, Paris Mou has refused further access for both ships to any port and anchorages in its region, following their third strikes.

The general cargo ship M/V Georgiana H with IMO number 8911413 was detained in Marina di Carrara, Italy on July 17, 2015. Over the last two years, this was the ship’s third detention in the Paris MoU region.

Another general cargo ship, M/V Andrey Osipov, with IMO number 8711306 was detained in Brake/Bremerhaven in Germany on March 3, 2015. This was also the ship’s third detention in the Paris MoU region within the last 24 months.

The period of the refusal of access will be 3 months, as this is the first given order.
