CMA CGM, a leading worldwide shipping Group, announced Thursday the start of the new service REX3, which directly connects Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Singapore and China.

CMA CGM Introduces New REX3 service between Asia and the Red Sea

The new REX3 line will offer:

  • In addition to the calls offered in REX2, MEX1 and EPIC lines, CMA CGM now operates an additional stop on the REX3 service. Djibouti is the entrance port to the Ethiopian market and will be now directly connected with Asia and Jeddah, a strategic port for exports to the US.
  • Very competitive transit times between Djibouti and Asia.
  • Djibouti will be reached in only 20 days from Shanghai and 15 days from Southern China.
  • Efficient connections within the Red Sea region.

The new REX3 service offers a wide and efficient port coverage of the Red Sea thanks to calls in Djibouti, Jeddah, Sokhna and Aqaba.

Operated in partnership with APL through a SWAP agreement, the REX3 service will offer the following port rotation: Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Shekou, Singapore, Djibouti, Jeddah, Sokhna, Aqaba, Djibouti, Singapore, Ningbo and Shanghai.
