Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal Law “On Introduction of Amendments into the Federal Law “On Seaports of the Russian Federation and on Introduction of Amendments into Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” and certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation, says official website of Kremlin.

The State Duma passed the Federal Law on 5 July 2017, the Federation Council approved it on 12 July 2017. 

The Federal Law regulates establishment, development and activities of seaports.

The document elaborates issues related to the territory of seaports, establishment and changing of their boundaries.  It also specifies requirements to creation, opening and closing of seaports and to creation of their infrastructure.

The Federal Law also covers issues related to administration of state-owned capital facilities, providing of services and ensuring of safety at seaports.
