Norway’s offshore vessel provider Solstad Farstad has entered into a new contract and contract extensions with Brazil’s Petrobras. The deals are for Solstad Farstads two anchor handlers and one construction support vessel.

The Norwegian company’s AHTS vessel BOS Topazio has been awarded a 3-year firm contract, expected to start in the first quarter of 2019, in direct continuation with current charter. Petrobras will have an option to extend for further 2-years.

Also, Farstad has secured a contract extension for AHTS Far Santana, making the contract firm until 2Q 2019. Far Santana is equipped with Fugro’s FCV Work Class ROV suitable for 3.000m water depth. Farstad said that the start of the contract amendment “shall take place during 2Q 2018.”

Furthermore, Petrobras has extended the contract for the Far Saga CSV making the contract firm until the second quarter of 2020. Far Saga is equipped with two Work Class ROVs from i-Tech 7 suitable for 3.000m water depth. The start of the contract amendment will take effect in the second quarter of 2018.

The vessels will be supporting exploration and production activities on Brazilian continental shelf.
