Dorian LPG, owner and operator of modern VLGCs (Very Large Gas Carriers), reported successfully taking delivery of the ECO VLGC Cougar that it had previously ordered from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI).

Cougar, the U.S.-headquartered company’s 4th newbuilding vessel, is going to be initially employed for spot market trading purposes through the Helios Pool. The 84,000 CMB Cougar serves as the 4th entry in a series of a total of 19 VLGCs that have been ordered from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

Dorian LPG has managed to secure a three-year time charter regarding the Corsair and another charter for one year for the Cobra, with expectations being that it will be delivered at this month’s end.

The respective time charters regarding the Cobra and the Corsair are with two different oil majors.

The company is the owner and operator of 7 modern VLGCs and 1 pressurized LPG vessel, and that includes the recently-delivered Cougar.

Additionally, the company also has 15 ECO VLGCs that are currently being built. It has a wide network of offices in London, United Kingdom, Connecticut, USA and Piraeus, Greece.
