The wreck of Baltic Ace and the cargo of the carrier - 1417 Mitsubishi cars, are being recycled in Vlaardingen at the Jansen Recycling shipyard.
Having spent two years on the bottom of the North Sea, the cars are almost unrecognizable. In spite of being affected by the sea water and flattened, there are still quite some raw materials including iron, cooper, zinc and aluminum.
There are still four parts of the vessels to be salvaged from the seabed.
