Within the framework of the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards 2016, handed out by the trade paper Asia Cargo News, Hamburg Süd was named “Best Shipping Line Asia – Europe”. The awards rank among the most prestigious honors bestowed by the transport and logistics sector in Asia.

The awards ceremony took place in Shanghai on June 14th. Accepting the honor on behalf of Hamburg Süd was André Jobmann, General Manager Area North China:
“Since its entry into the East–West trade lanes in late 2014, Hamburg Süd has very quickly built up an efficient organization in these trades. The services between Asia and Europe are playing an important role in this process, and the positive feedback from our customers confirms us in our commitment.”
Four shipping companies were first selected as finalists in the category “Best Shipping Line Asia – Europe” by a panel of experts. The readers of the Hong Kong-based shipping and logistics trade paper Asia Cargo News chose the award winner from among them.
