Ocean Yield ASA announced on Friday the delivery of the 49,000 dwt IMO II chemical tanker Navig8 Tanzanite from STX, Korea.
After being delivered from the shipyard, the vessel commenced a 15 years "hell and high water" bareboat charter to Navig8 Chemical Tankers Inc.

Ocean Yield ASA has now taken delivery of seventeen vessels so far this year, increasing the fleet from 14 vessels on the water as of end 2015 to 31. Ocean Yield has another three vessels under construction, bringing the total fleet to 34 vessels.
Ocean Yield ASA's Chief Executive Officer Lars Solbakken said in a comment: "2016 has been a year with significant growth for Ocean Yield driven by the delivery of 17 vessels. The deliveries will contribute to further growth in earnings and dividend capacity in 2017"
