MS Finnswan (formerly MS Nordlink) starts in Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär route – Improvements in customer service continues
Slotting MS Europalink, purchased last week, to the Malmö–Travemünde route will trigger reshuffling in Finnlines fleet. At the end of April, a Star class vessel, MS Nordlink from the Malmö–Travemünde route will be re-deployed on Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär route.
The name of the vessel has today changed from MS Nordlink to MS Finnswan and she sails now under Finnish flag. MS Finnswan will be one of the first ships of this length and cargo capacity to service Finnlines customers between Finland and Sweden.
Before transferring to the Finland–Sweden traffic, MS Finnswan will undergo refurbishment in the public areas and thus even better meet the passengers’ needs. For example, the lounge areas will be expanded and tax-free shop and restaurant area will be refurbished.
This modern ro-pax vessel was built in 2007, have the capacity of 4,215 lane metres and of 554 passengers.
“Finnswan with its large cargo capacity enables us to offer more space on those departures where we experience the biggest demand. Also our onboard passenger concept has been improved during the past years including refurbishing the vessels, and this way we can maintain and further improve our high customer satisfaction level and unique travel experience on Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär route,” says Tom Pippingsköld, CFO of Finnlines.
