Teekay Tankers Ltd. (Teekay Tankers) (NYSE:TNK) yesterday announced the formal launch of The Helm, a vessel dashboard portal that gives pool partners a transparent, real-time direct link to commercial, technical, and market data pertaining to their vessels.
As well as being the world’s largest mid-size tanker operator, Teekay Tankers provides the tanker market with various value-added, commercial services including:
- pool and commercial management for Aframax, Suezmax, and LR2 pools;
- fuel services;
- oil & clean product ship-to-ship (STS);
- LNG STS & terminal management; and
- tanker services, including technical management and its JV partnership in Halo Fenders.
The launch of The Helm is part of Teekay Tankers’ strategic customer focus. “We are continually striving to improve our services to customers and partners,” commented Matthew Blake, Director, Business Development. “The Helm is an industry-leading digital tool that will provide our pool partners with on-demand, transparent insights into their vessels’ performance in the various Teekay managed pools.”
