A series of meetings took place yesterday at Gazprom HQ between Alexey Miller, Gazprom Management Committee Chairman and Wolfgang Buechele, Linde CEO along with Chul-Kyoon Lee, Daelim Industrial President.
The three leaders came together to consider co-op issues among Linde, Gazprom and Daelim Industrial, inter alia, within the lines of the Amur GPP project. Various sources have reported that when it materializes Amur GPP Project is going to be Russia’s biggest plant and among the largest in the world.
The Amur GPP will offer a design capacity of a maximum of 49 billion cubic meters of gas on an annual basis and is to be built in the Amur Region near Svobodny. The GPP is going to be the largest helium plant in the world and with the use of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline is going to be supplied with multi-component gas that will be delivered from the Irkutsk and Yakutia gas production centers that Gazprom is setting up along the lines of the Easter Gas Program.
There is a high chance that Linde will play a major role given as how it is a global major specialized in industrial technologies for gas treatment and separation via the use of ethane, propane and heavier fractions stripping. Additionally, the company also produces designs and constructs cryogenic plants for the liquefaction of gas and helium.
