Australian offshore vessel owner MMA Offshore has launched their newbuild vessel, MMA Pinnacle.

The marine service provider in the Asia Pacific region, announced via social media on Tuesday that the vessel had been launched in Batam shipyard in Indonesia on April 23.

The 2016 newbuild ROV support and light construction vessel, along with its sister ship MMA Prestige, has been, according to specs, designed with ultra-deep water lift capabilities with an AHC subsea crane capable of lifting a 100 tons from deck to seabed 2000 meters below.

The DP2 vessel is powered by a 10,000 kW diesel electric system consisted of four separate 2,500 kW generators. Specifications state that it can handle as much as 10 tons per square meter of deck strength for demanding payloads. MMA Pinnacle can accommodate 100 people and provide 500 kVA of power for the ROV.

The company said that work on the MMA Pinnacle would continue over the coming months. The vessel is expected to be fully completed in the third quarter of 2016.
