American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC) shipped more than 700 pieces of military equipment on M/V Resolve from Kuwait to Joint Base Charleston where it was quickly discharged at the Transportation Core Dock (TC Dock) by the Military Surface Deployment & Distribution Command’s 841st Transportation Battalion.

The equipment was primarily from the Army Prepositioned Stock 5 (APS – 5) and is being shipped to multiple military depots in the U.S. for refit and repair.

“This was a very smooth operation and went according to plan,” said Captain Justin Hajduk (pictured), Captain of ARC’s M/V Resolve, “and there was great cooperation between all parties.” This was Captain Hajduk’s maiden voyage as an ARC Captain – congratulations on a job well done!

The M/V Resolve is an extremely capable vessel with an overall length of 623 feet (190 meters). The vessel has a stern ramp capable of carrying loads weighing up to 120 metric tons and 216,000 square feet of militarily useful capacity.
