Major boost in choice and capacity for freight customers and passengers on Company’s Rosslare-Cherbourg route with the addition of Stena Vision

Stena Line Expands Ireland-France ferry service

With the addition of Stena Vision to Company’s Ireland-France route, Stena Line provides a significant increase in capacity alongside Cpmpany’s existing vessel on the route, Stena Horizon.

Stena Vision is scheduled to begin service in June 2023 and she will increase the frequency on the route to six departures a week in each direction, making us the only ferry operator offering the shortest, quickest and most frequent ferry service to and from Ireland and the European Continent. With the ship Stena Line will be doubling Company’s sailing frequency and tripling the passenger capacity on Stena Rosslare–Cherbourg service as well as adding 20 per cent freight capacity.

The introduction of the Stena Vision is welcome news for the freight sector, which has seen demand grow for direct services to France from hauliers since Brexit. Stena Vision will also increase driver accompanied capacity with more cabin space for freight drivers.

Stena Vision will come fresh from the Baltic Sea, where she is operating on the busy Swedish-Polish Karlskrona to Gdynia route. On this route she will be replaced by Stena Line’s new larger E-Flexer Stena Ebba early next year.
