The U.S. Coast Guard medevaced a vessel master near Southwest Pass, Louisiana, Monday (Feb 20, 2017).

U.S. Coast Guard medevacs the master of chem tanker FPMC 28 near Southwest Pass, Louisiana

Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call at 5:45 a.m. of a male suffering from chest pains aboard the chemical tanker, FPMC 28, and launched a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 helicopter aircrew at 7:45 a.m.

The aircrew arrived on scene at 8:20 a.m. and transferred the survivor to West Jefferson Memorial Hospital at 9:20 a.m.

The Master was reported in stable condition.
