Carnival Problems Update: 2 cruise guests missing, may have fallen overboard

A 26-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man have been announced missing from a Carnival's holiday cruise liner - Carnival Spirit sparking a major search east of Forster.
The couple passengers were reported missing after the Carnival Spirit cruise ship docked in Sydney's overseas cruise terminal early on Thursday morning.
The Westpac chopper involved in the search has set down in Port Macquarie for the night and the rescue action, it has Tweeted, is going to continue from 1st light tomorrow.
A thorough search of the cruise vessel was carried out, but the pair unfortunately weren't found. Personnel on the Carnival Spirit cruise vessel contacted police at 11:30 a.m.
A review of security footage showed the the missing couple had gone overboard at 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police and Australian Search and Rescue have pinpointed a region of 60 n.m. east of Forster and a search is now under way. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance are being investigated.
The cruise had sailed through the Pacific Islands.
The 292-metre long cruise ship Carnival Spirit started docking permanently in Sydney in October last year.
It holds up to 2680 passengers and 1000 crew members and is too large to fit under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
