HS Shipholding AB has signed and closed an agreement to sell Herning Shipping A/S, a Triton Fund III company, to ANE Shipping AS.
ANE shipping AS is a newly established Norwegian partnership between Camillo Eitzen & Co AS / Axel C. Eitzen, Castel AS / Erik Bartnes and Seahorse Maritime AS / Nicolai Heidenreich. Herning Shipping A/S has its roots back to 1963 in the city of Herning in Denmark. The intention is now to rename Herning Shipping to Christiania Shipping AS. The parties have agreed not to disclose any financial information.
Christiania Shipping AS will be located in Copenhagen with Axel C. Eitzen as CEO.
Axel C. Eitzen states the following: “I am very pleased with the establishment of our new company and with the acquisition of a well-respected and competent team from Herning Shipping. I look forward to further building on Herning Shipping’s strong relations with existing and potential customers, and to develop a solid foundation for future business.”
Herning Shipping is a Danish headquartered tanker operator, operating a fleet of 19 vessels, whereof 12 are owned. The vessels are between 3,000 and 11,000 DWT, serving customers primarily in Northern Europe and West Africa. The company has the latter years been managed by Nordic Tankers in Copenhagen.
