Jebel Ali Port Achieves UNDSS Certificate

DP World leading terminal operator company informed port Jebel Ali is the 1st port in the Middle East to receive the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) Certificate, a benchmark for security management systems.
There was an inspection of the port by experts of UNDSS who made tests on the security measures like emergency response plans, security awareness for staff, security briefing for security personnel, and documentation procedures.
The certificate was given to DP World UAE, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Mohammed Al Muallem by UNDSS representatives.
Al Muallem told:
"Ensuring the safety and security of our people, our customers and assets is integral to DP World’s commitment to safeguarding the national interests of the UAE. We are honoured to receive this important certificate from the United Nations Department of Safety and Security and take this opportunity to reaffirm to all our stakeholders that we will spare no efforts to keep Jebel Ali the safest port in the world."
The expert Tamer Hammouda, a Security Advisor UNDSS informed:

We are impressed by the high levels of safety and security we found implemented at Jebel Ali Port, even exceeding standards set by UNDSS in some areas.
