SILVER SHADOW Collision

Silversea Cruises company based on Monaco ' MV SILVER SHADOW has collided with another vessel in foggy weather near Vietnam.
Built in 2000, 28,258 gt SILVER SHADOW was about 8km off the coast in Ha Long Bay when the incident occurred on Friday morning. The cruise ship slammed into the side of a Vietnamese container ship.
There was information of damage to the container ship and unconfirmed crew traumas. There exist information of injuries on the SILVER SHADOW, which passengers described as receiving some damage to her bow.
The main route of Silver Shadow was mostly from the UK and US.
The vessel was operational and go on on its course to Ha Long Bay, where all shore tours worked normally.”
Silversea informed that was carrying out an investigation about this accident.
