Cryonorm Systems receives order to supply the LNG fuel system onboard the third LNG powered cement carrier for Erik Thun A.B. Sweden.
This ship will be a sister ship of the Greenland and Ireland which both are currently sailing with a 130m3 Cryonorm LNG Fuel System onboard.
The new order consists of a turn-key supply Marine LNG fuel system with an increased tank size of 200m3 vertical shaped vacuum insulated type C installed inside the bow of the vessel hull.
Ferus Smit and Cryonorm Systems reached an agreement early March to partner in this important project.
"The fact that Erik Thun and KGJ Cement continue to invest in LNG Fueled vessels and the trust we receive from both Thun, KGJS and Smit is the confirmation of our good position in the market as a reliable supplier of LNG fuel systems. It also shows that LNG as fuel is not a soap bubble" says Jos Glorie, business development director of Cryonorm Systems.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled mid-2019.
