GasLog’s newest liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier named GasLog Gladstone has been launched at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea.
The 174,000-cbm LNG tanker is scheduled to be delivered to its owner in the first quarter of 2019, according to GasLog.
Monaco-based GasLog signed previously a time-charter contract for the LNG newbuild with the Hague-based LNG giant Shell.
Shell will charter the LNG carrier powered by a low-pressure dual-fuel engine from GasLog for a period of ten years.
GasLog’s total fleet consists of 29 LNG carriers out of which 5 are on order, according to the company’s website.
