CMA CGM: FSI ends its $150m investment

FSI (France’s state investment fund Fonds Strategique d’Investissement)  reached an agreement with CMA CGM  for investment of $150m through mandatory convertible bonds. Competition authorities have allowed the deal.

FSI will have representative (Denis Ranque - Chairman of EADS board of directors) at CMA CGM board of directors. Thomas Devedjian, Director and member of FSI executive committee will have status of observer at CMA CGM board.

The support of FSI to CMA CGM shows the idea of France to help leading corporates to secure their position. This plan is believed to be important for the French economy and economic development.
