An Accident between ships in <area lat="50.930738" lon="1.340332">Dover Strait</area>

In poor visibility have collided 2 ships on passage in the Dover Strait yesterday morning.
The first one, cargo ship - Spring Bok, with 22 crew aboard, registered in the Netherlands has been on passage from Amsterdam to Oranjestad, Aruba. The second with 14 crew aboard - Gas Arctic LPG tanker currently in ballast, registered in Malta has been on passage from Tees to Portland. Both ships have collided when visibility has been less than half a mile.
The Coastguard of Dover Strait requested Dungeness`s launch of all weather lifeboat and the assistance of HMS Tyne which was transiting the Strait.
“The ships have both incurred damage above the water line but are fully capable of making their way to Portland where they will be inspected”, says Phil Davies, Watch Officer, Dover Coastguard.
