Lloyd's Register to investigate MOL COMFORT

MOL  authorize Lloyd's Register  as a Technical Consultant to investigate the incident with the container ship MOL COMFORT .
Lloyd's Register has experience in vessel design certification and shipbuilding inspection. The London based company will try to discover the cause of the breaking in 2 parts of the vessel on June 17.

Lloyd's Register is specialized in design drawings and shipbuilding/post-delivery inspections of many large-size container vessels and will help Mitsui O.S.K. Lines to reinforce the sister vessels of MOL COMFORT.

The location of the fore part of the vessel MOL COMFORT is 17'14"N 68'48"E and there is no oil leakage. The majority of the cargo is aboard. The tow wire was disconnected but the recovery work was finished and the salvage operation continues.
