After 5 month absense Emma Maersk will rejoin AE-10

By Curious

The 15,550 TEU Emma Maersk is going to rejoin Maersk's Asia-Europe (AE-10) fleet at Tangier on 18th of July, 2013 after a 5-month absence due to an engine room flooding in the Suez Canal, but is likely going to find herself upstaged by the world's largest ship 18,270-TEU Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller.

The container ship Emma Maersk has been moored since 25th of February, 2013 at the Fincantieri yard in Palermo, Sicily, where her engine obtained an extensive overhaul with repairs to the stern thruster.

Since now, Emma Maersk's place on the loop while she was out of service was taken by the smaller 9,661 TEU Butterfly, chartered from CMA CGM.
