Flinterspirit hits rocks because of a captain

The master of the cargo ship FLINTERSPIRIT (manager: FLINTER SHIPPING BV) is facing criminal charges after his ship hits the rocks in the Western Isles.
The vessel went near the east side of North Uist while sailing south down the Minch on March 19 on its course to Belfast from Sweden with a cargo of wood.
Master of the vessel Konstantin Golubev is facing charges of failing to maintain a proper lookout and prevent the incident. The captain who is russian is also accused of not maintainig course as required to evade the vessel suffering serious damage. Golubev was seen at Stornoway Sheriff Court on March 27 and was released on bail.
The vessel Flinterspirit stayed there for a few days and went to Belfast.
