A helicopter of the USCG has transported 2 burned crew members from a cargo vessel about 15 nautical miles southwest of the mouth of the Columbia River.
According to the information of the agency, the operator of the bulk cargo ship Alexandros Theo called for help Monday morning, Aug 5th. The USCG promptly dispatched a helicopter crew from Astoria, Ore., and a response vessel from Ilwaco, Wash.
The 2 injured were hoisted aboard the helicopter and transported to medics at the Coast Guard's Astoria air station.
The spokesman for the USCG, Zac Crawford in Seattle says the injured people didn't suffer life-threatening injuries.
