Israeli vessel Zim Rotterdam prevented from entering Red Sea ports

Israeli merchant vessel Zim Rotterdam was not allowed to enter any port of Red Sea ports. Major General Hassan Falah head of Red Sea Ports Authority explained the situation that the ship could not enter the port of Sokha because was under fire off the coast of Djibouti since 4 days.

After discussions between authorities and the security services the Liberian flagged vessel owned by a subsidiary of Israeli shipping company was prevented to enter any port in order to adjust their positions after the fire on board.

Falah informed that the captain of Zim Rotterdam was notified to leave the territorial waters , where the vessel stands for Mkhtafha outer waiting area vessels through the Suez Canal. The naval base of Suez had to take actions and to make a warning, the ship had to leave Egyptian territorial waters.
