The cruise industry's annual international conference, Cruise Shipping Miami, will be held in the period 10th – 13th March 2014. At the exhibition there will be more than 900 companies from over 100 countries. Аt least 11,000 people are expected to attend the cruise show. The campaign for popularizing the event started two years ago because in 2014 Cruise Shipping Miami will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Main part of the show programme are a conference, which will last 4 days with sessions Monday through Thursday, and a trade show, which will be 3 days Tuesday through Thursday, at the Miami Beach Convention Center
The director of UBM's Cruise Shipping Portfolio said:
"We are continuing to tweak the conference lineup this year following last year's redesign, based on customer feedback and research, with a sharp focus on trend-related topics and bringing in new speakers and panelists for new perspectives. And for the exhibition we're adding new pavilions and creating additional opportunities for buyers and suppliers to interact."
The conference is scheduled to cover four important topics: Shipbuilding, Operations and Technology; Market Segments; Product Development and Destinations and Ports. The organizers will issue updates when the details for the individual conference sessions are settled.
The trade show will be positioned in all 4 halls of the convention center. There will be national pavilions and highlights of the business in many sectors: ship design and refurbishment; ship equipment; entertainment and destinations; amusements and recreations attractions and ship services and hotel operations.
In addition to the tradition exhibitions, this year, the Food & Beverage sector will be presented interactively with the Grand Tasting Pavilion. The Food & Beverage clients and suppliers will be offered to see the new trends in the food-service products. They also will be able to try the goods.
New for the attendees in 2014 will be and the Cruise Trends Theater. This is services and products platform where the attendees and exhibitors might present any innovation from any industry that impacts the cruise business. This might be technology, food and beverage, entertainment or sustainability. The concept presentation for the Cruise Trends Theater should be half an hour.
The conference will be held in Miami Beach Convention Center and is supported by Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association and Cruise Lines International Association.
