Two vessels sank in 2 separate incidents off the China's east coast Shandong Province, taking 2 victims and sent 24 others in obscurity, reported local maritime officials on Nov 25th.
The Shandong Maritime Safety Administration (SMSA) reported that Zhejiang Province registered cargo vessel Xinglongzhou65, sank off the city of Yantau at about 9 pm. on Sunday, Nov 24th, taking 12 seamen in obscurity.
The Maritime Administration reported bodies of 2 seafarers were already found and the search and rescue operation is being conducted.
The other reported accident with Zihaishun, a Tianjin Municipality registered cargo vessel occurred in Weihai City at about 2:30 am. today, and left fourteen seamen missing.
Teams of professioanls is conducting search and rescue operation to find the missing seafarers, reported the maritime administration.
Both accidents were caused by the rough weather with strong winds and waves.
