Another Cosco ship detained in Singapore

One more Cosco ship was arrested for the past weeks in Singapore. The bulk carrier Fu Kang (72,437dwt) owned by Cosco Hong Kong Shipping was detained yesterday by the law firm Oon & Bazul due to arbitration-related issues. The ship, registered in Panama was started his journey from, Taizhou - China on January 12. This incident is not isolated, this an another arrest for the Chinese largest maritime company. In the last month from the previous year a a heavylift vessel owned by Cosco Shipping was detained in Singapore for some days as debts were chased up.

The previous arrested ship Da Cui Yun was stopped for unpaid charter hire and consumed bunkers worth $750,000.
