21 die as tourist boat capsizes in Andaman Sea

21 passengers died because their tourist boat Aqua Marine capsized on Sunday afternoon off India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal. 29 people have been rescued by the Indian air force and one is missing. The boat was sailing from the Ross Island to the North Bay and most of the passengers are probably Indians from Tamil Nadu and Mumbai. The cause of the incident is not yet determined, but the investigation shows that the cause for the incident is that the boat was carrying too many passengers on board.

In a statement, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, "expressed shock over the boat tragedy". India's national agencies will help the rescue and relief operation. Rescued passengers have been  transported to a hospital. Some of them were badly injured according to official news agencies. Information shows that on board were three children, one of them is among the victims.

Andaman islands are visited every year by a lot of tourists, this territory is the most easterly part of India. This place represents an archipelago of hundreds of islands located at least 1,000 km (600 miles) from the mainland.
