MSC Mia, one of the largest container ships in the world hit a gantry crane at while leaving the container terminal at Valencia, Spain, on September 13th in the morning. The crane collapsed injuring its operator who required hospitalization.

Able to carry 23,756 containers (TEU), MSC Mia has a record-size capacity for a container ship. 

At 400 metres long and more than 60 metres wide, she is about the size of four soccer fields and longer than the Eiffel Tower is tall. In a single voyage, she can carry more than 47,500 cars, 38 million pairs of shoes, or 2.94 million washing machines.
