Three allisions in Kiel Canal last week

Three allisions happened in Kiel Canal on March 15.

DS Agility, a container ship, was en route from Rotterdam to Riga when around midnight the vessel allided with a piling. The piling (number 75) is located on the south side of Schülp. There were no reports of damages or injuries. DS Agility was allowed to continue to Gdynia. The incident is investigated by the water police. 

DS Agility is a container ship with length of 148 m. The ship is registered in Liberia with IMO 9395616. The ship was built in 2008 and its DWT is 13,856. Current position of DS Agility.

Passaat, a cargo vessel, was en route from Grimsby to Vierow when the ship allided with a flood gate (number 7.2) at Brunsbüttel. The cargo vessel was unloaded and was pushed by stormy winds from the astern. The incident happened at 6:37 AM. The flood gate was damaged seriously while Passaat sufered minor bow damages. The vessel anchored at Rügen to be examined by divers.

Johanna, a container ship, was en route from Kokkola to Antwerp when the vessel allided with the jetty 1 at Brunsbüttel. The incident happened at 9:20 PM because the ship was caught by a heavy winds. The vessel was not damaged seriously, no reports of injuries. The incident is investigated by the water police.
