Video: 3 dead, 2 missing after Mar Nosso sinks in the Bay of Biscay

Mar Nosso, a fishing vessel, capsized and sank off Ria de Navia (Spain) resulting in three victims, 2 crew members are still missing. The accident happened on April 17, early afternoon. The mackerel trawler lost stability and rolled over. 

Another fishing boat, Galega Mar, that was sailing a mile away, sounded the alarm and provided assistance. Mar Nosso had 12 fishermen on board, from Portugal and Spain, 7 of whom were rescued by the other fishing boat. They were reported suffering hypothermia and were taken by helicopters to local hospitals (in the Asturias and Galicia regions) for treatment. There was a pollution around the vessel believed to be from the fuel tanks. Three bodies have already been recovered, two sailors are missing. The accident is under investigation.

Mar Nosso (IMO number 7218101 and MMSI 263427000) is a fishing vessel registered in Portugal. The 32-meter vessel was built in 1972.
