Video: Cargo vessel Nawal-F aground in the Bosphorus

Nawal-F, a general cargo vessel, has run aground in the Bosphorus. The incident happened in front of Beykoz Anadolu Hisar beach (Istanbul) this morning at around 4 AM local time. The vessel was sailing to Constanta (Romania). 

The Turkish Maritime authorities dispatched immediately tugs to the scene. Preliminary inspection of the vessel has not shown any damage. Nawal-F was refloated half an hour later, at around 5:30 AM, and was taken to anchor at Buyuktepe. The ship docked at around 6:20 AM and is awaiting further inspection. 

Nawal-F (IMO number 8807349 and MMSI 671285000) is a general cargo vessel registered in Togo. The dwt 4,599-ton ship was built in 1989 and has a capacity of 256 TEU. Manager of the vessel is the Greek company Nereide Marine SA. Last position of Nawal-F.
