Eni informs that the MIAMTE Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel arrived in Mexico on Sunday (Jan02). The MIAMTE FPSO is part of the Area 1 development Project and will allow to achieve the final production configuration.
The FPSO will be connected to the Mooring System and the integrated commissioning activities will be commenced.
The MIAMTE FPSO has an oil treatment capacity of 90 kbopd. Its construction involved 5 construction yards in 3 different countries including Mexico, where 5 modules were built (while the final integration was done in Singapore) and the jacket of the mooring system was fabricated as well. Overall, works required more than 17 million man-hours, executed at the highest HSE standards. Finally, on October 27th, 2021 the MIAMTE FPSO sailed away from Singapore, reaching Mexico after 67 days.
Eni began early production from Area 1 in 2019. The Area covers 67 km² and includes three fields: Amoca, Miztón and Tecoalli, located offshore Tabasco. The production is expected to ramp up in early 2022.
