Two vessels arrested in Singapore

Two vessels have been arrested in Singapore - Liquid Silver, a product tanker, and Leandra, a general cargo ship.

The arrests were requested by lawyers from Asia Practice LLP (for Leandra) and Rodyk & Davidson LLP lawyers (for Liquid Silver). The reasons are yet to be revealed, but according to early indications, behind the double arrest are banks.

MT Liquid Silver (IMO number 9164500 and MMSI 636014260) is a 134-meter product tanker registered in Liberia. The 13,900-dwt vessel was built in 1999 and is managed by Elmira Tankers Management (Greece).

Leandra (IMO number 9438585 and MMSI 305375000) is a 139-meter general cargo ship registered in Antigua & Barbuda. The 1,100-dwt vessel was built in 2008 and is managed by Intersee (Germany).
