On January 18, Shanghai International Port Group and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company signed a joint venture agreement on the Yangshan yard project of "Shanghai Port Northeast Asia Empty Container Shipping Center".
The two parties will work together to build "Shanghai Port Empty Container Shipping Center", help Lin-gang Special Area to move towards a higher level, and enhance the service function of Shanghai Port as a shipping hub that radiates around the world.
SIPG is committed to the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and the high-quality development of a shipping powerhouse, and has maintained the world's largest container throughput at its home port for 12 consecutive years.
MSC's routes go directly to 16 coastal ports in China. As a close strategic partner of SIPG, it will support the development of green logistics business, jointly build "Shanghai Port Empty Container Shipping Center", and enhance Shanghai's global shipping hub level.
The signing ceremony fully reflects the achievements made by SIPG in building a world-class shipping hub and accelerating the construction of an international hub port.
