Kuala Linggi marine enforcement officer Ahmad Azman Rusidi stated 6, all locals, have been on their way to submit supplies to a trade vessel, El Gurabia, when strong waves capsized their vessel and sank near to Port Dickson.
All the sailors have had their life jackets on and have been rescued by the crew members from the trade vessel.
“One of the sailors has wounded his knee and has received outpatient treatments,” told the officer.
Azman told the 6 sailors had left the jetty here at 12.30pm to send the supplies.
He told, sea conditions have been coarse at the time and the wooden vessel was quickly filled with water.
“Maritime officers have brought the men, led by their tekong Abdul Hadi Musa, to shore about 3pm,” he said.
