Maersk Line has won the recognition for Shipping Company of the Year at the Automotive Supply Chain Global awards. The special event was held on November 12 in London.

The award was given to Maerk Line for continuous sustainability in shipping by cutting emissions, thus lessen the impact of its customers supply chains.

“Maersk Line’s reliability, innovation and commitment to exceeding customer expectations is testament to what makes them a carrier of choice for many of the world’s automotive manufacturers, “ a judge commented the decision.

The award was received on behalf of the company by the sales director at Maersk Line UK and Ireland, David Browne.

“We work with some of the biggest automotive manufacturers in the world, and we are delighted that has been recognised with this award. We are committed to supporting our customers’ businesses and helping them grow, and would like to thank them for their continued support, “ he commented.

The company works with original equipment manufacturers such as Nissan, Ford, Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Hyundai. This May, at the Ford World Excellence Awards, Maersk line became the first carrier to ever receive recognition for its work on the environment and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
